TRENITALIA BLUES ROAD SHOW 2022

Videomapping lights up the road show launch of Trenitalia’s new entry.

BRIEF

Departing from the heart of Florence in spring 2022, from March to June, the great road show will cover main italian cities – Reggio Calabria, Palermo, Catania, Cagliari e Roma – to launch Blues – Trenitalia’s new low environmental impact regional train designed by Hitachi Rail. Objective: create a spectacular event in Villaggio Trenitalia where the full-scale model of Blues is on preview, in the presence of institutions, top managers of the FS Group and media. In collaboration with 2G Eventi, we have created a travelling Mapping Show that mixes Territory, Art, Music and Ecology in an experience with high visual impact.

SOLUTION

For the launch of Trenitalia’s first hybrid triple-powered train, we were inspired by the concepts of movement and sustainability. In cooperation with the team of Studio Cliché, we designed and created a videomapping on the new regional train’s wagons and on the historical buildings of the six cities. In a loop from sunset to evening, 7 minutes of pure visual spectacle, halfway between ecology and technology, envelop the surfaces in a dance of lively and vibrant colours. On the facades, the outline of the train speeds by, alternated by floral elements, shapes inspired by industrial design, luminous fibres and the brand logo. On the convoy, evocative images flow into large waves of colours. The result is a mesmerizing sight.
